Checking the device
Note: If you have installed firmware 2025.0 and activated the Security Profile in the previous firmware version, you must perform a reset 1 after the update.
- Log in to the WBM.

Establishing a connection to the Web-based Management (WBM):
- Open a web browser on your computer.
- In the address field, enter the URL https://<IP-address-of-the-controller>/wbm,
for example: https://192.168.1.10/wbm.
For further information, see WBM.
Note: Initial access to the WBM
For secure communication, the web server of the device uses a self-signed TLS certificate automatically generated by the device. When you first access the WBM, the TLS certificate is not known to your web browser. Therefore, a security warning opens in the web browser, even though it is a secure connection.
- Allow the connection in your web browser.
To not receive a security warning when accessing the WBM in the future, you must download the certificate to your PC and add it as a trusted certificate to the web browser.
- Open the General Data page (Device → General Data).
- Check whether you are working on the correct device:
- PLCnext Control AXC F 2152 , Order No. 2404267
- Serial No. as printed on the device
- Firmware version: Always use the latest certified version. You can find this in the IEC 62443-4-2 compliance list.
Note: If you update the firmware to the latest firmware version, you must perform the firmware update for a second time. If the firmware update is performed twice, the new firmware version is saved in both the active and inactive boot partitions of the internal flash memory. This is the only way to ensure that the controller always boots with the latest firmware version, even if the boot process has already failed five times. For more information on the boot partitions and the behavior in the event of a boot process failure, refer to the main PLCnext Technology - Info Center.
- Hardware version: Information on the hardware version can be found in the topic of the respective PLCnext Control.
